DSP (Independent Home Supports) - No ADLs/No Weekends
Job description
Individualized Home Support (IHS) DSP Staff provide one to one supports to people living with disabilities in their homes and the community. Staff promote independence in people by focusing on achieving their personal goals. IHS Staff enjoy a variety of perks:
- No personal cares/minimal medication administration
- Individualized schedule based on employee availability
- Work cell phone provided
- Working with a diverse population in a variety of locations
A typical day will include 3-4 scheduled visits. Each person has different goals/interests and IHS DSPs guide them toward achieving those goals.

Day Program Specialist
Job description
The Day Program Specialist will be responsible for managing the daily operations on the program floor. SMB's Adult Day Program is a recreation based social and community integration program for adults living with brain injury and/or mental health diagnosis. Staff work with participants to explore new activities, experiences and areas of interest. Assisting people in learning new skills, socializing and engaging with the community is a rewarding experience that the Program Specialist will play a major role in organizing.
A great Day Program Specialist will:
Support and work with individuals living with disabilities
Mentor a team of Day Program staff
Assist with managing program budget
Attend bi-weekly team meetings
Ensure compliance of 245D and SMB Disability Solutions’ policies and procedures on the program floor
Ensure all staff in the program attain and remain fully trained to work with each participant
You Are:

Someone with 3 years experience in the disability services industry
Over 19 with a High School Diploma or GED
